An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) shows how energy efficient a property is.
The EPC provides a rating of the energy efficiency and CO2 emissions of a building from A to G, similar to the ratings found on white goods. This allows buyers or tenants to check a buildings energy efficiency and CO2 emissions before they rent or buy. An EPC is also required for Solar Photovoltaic Panels to qualify for the Feed-in Tariff.
